UNU Jogja and LLDIKTI Region V Strengthen Commitment to Achieving Excellent Study Program Accreditation

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (UNU) Jogja welcomed a courtesy visit from the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region V Yogyakarta at the Main Hall of UNU Jogja on Tuesday, November 11. The visit aligns with LLDIKTI V’s strategic agenda to support the improvement of higher education quality across the region.

In his remarks, the Head of LLDIKTI Region V, Prof. Setyabudi Indartono, emphasized that this visit serves as a collaborative effort to enhance educational standards, especially among private universities.

“Unlike state universities that receive full support from the government, private universities face their own challenges in various aspects. Therefore, we must work together to ensure that study programs in Yogyakarta’s higher education institutions can achieve Excellent (Unggul) accreditation,” he stated.

Prof. Setyabudi explained that LLDIKTI V has set a target to increase the number of study programs with Excellent accreditation among private universities. However, this effort requires synergy between institutional leadership, academic staff, and policy support.

Meanwhile, Acting Rector of UNU Jogja, Suhadi, mentioned that the university is currently accelerating improvements at the study program level, particularly in strengthening academic resources and institutional policies.

“As a relatively young institution, UNU Jogja continues to encourage its study programs to advance their accreditation quality. This can be seen from the increasing number of certified lecturers and academic outputs produced,” he said. [Latifah]
