UNU Jogja Receives 2025 Best Empowerment Partner Award from BTPN Syariah

Jakarta, Indonesia – Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Yogyakarta (UNU Jogja) has received the 2025 Best Customer Empowerment Partner Award from BTPN Syariah. The award recognizes UNU Jogja’s active contribution to community empowerment programs, particularly in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

The award was presented to the Acting Rector of UNU Jogja, Dr. Fahmy Akbar Idries, S.E., M.M., during an official ceremony held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Menara SMBC, South Jakarta.

Between 2022 and 2025, UNU Jogja deployed more than 20 students to directly participate in empowerment initiatives, assisting over 850 BTPN Syariah customers. The university consistently participated in the Bestee Program and earned two awards as Best Facilitator during the period.

Vini D. Perdana, Daya Activation & Partnership Head of PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk, stated that the award reflects strong synergy between academia and industry in strengthening the quality of economic empowerment programs.

“This collaboration not only creates significant impact for customers but also provides real-world learning opportunities for students to develop social competence, leadership, and community-based empowerment skills,” she said.

She further emphasized that strategic partnerships with universities play a crucial role in building sustainable empowerment ecosystems, expanding social impact while enhancing human capital quality.

Meanwhile, Dr. Fahmy expressed appreciation for the trust given to UNU Jogja and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to strengthening strategic collaboration with BTPN Syariah.

“This award is not merely an institutional achievement, but a reflection of our students’ tangible contribution in supporting community economic empowerment,” he stated.

Moving forward, UNU Jogja remains committed to expanding collaborative initiatives that directly benefit society while reinforcing the role of higher education institutions in promoting value-based and sustainable empowerment. [Latifah]
