Yogyakarta, Indonesia - The UNU Jogja Career Days 2025 career opportunity exhibition and celebration of innovation in young talent development officially opened on Saturday, July 5. This event, which is free of charge, features dozens of companies and is being held at the UNU Jogja Campus on July 5-6, 2025.
In his opening remarks, Acting Rector Suhadi Cholil stated that Career Days 2025 is a concrete step by UNU Jogja in realizing collaboration with industry partners. "This event aligns with our vision and mission of strategic partnerships aimed at bridging the needs of industry with the potential of students, graduates, and the broader community," he said.
Suhadi explained that UNU Jogja has established partnerships with hundreds of companies, institutions, and organizations committed to human resource development and future-oriented initiatives. "We are open to collaborating with companies at the UNU Jogja Career Days 2025 event," Suhadi added.
Nurhadi, the initiator of the event and UNU Jogja’s Director of Employability, noted that enthusiasm for participating in Career Days 2025 is very high. This is evident from the approximately 5,000 participants who have registered for various sessions at the event. “The participants are not only UNU Jogja students and graduates, but also from renowned universities in Jogja and beyond,” he said.
Over 33 national and international companies from multiple sectors will attend UNU Jogja Career Days 2025, including finance and banking, hospitality and health, manufacturing, property, technology and communication, media, philanthropy, and education. "Over the two days, companies can quickly recruit the best talent.
Through our collaboration with UNU Jogja, we can move forward more swiftly,” said Nurhadi.
One of UNU Jogja’s strategic partners participating in Career Days 2025 is GEM Indonesia (PT QMB New Energy Materials), a global Chinese company that specializes in recycling and green energy. UNU Jogja and GEM Indonesia are currently developing a Metallurgy Engineering Program and a Future Metallurgy Faculty, both of which focus on urban mining and recycling activities from unused electronic products.
Ahmad Hanif, the head of HR Organizational Development & Training at GEM Indonesia, stated that the collaboration between GEM and UNU Jogja is a model of long-term cooperation between academia and industry. "We are strategic partners in developing education and human resources. We believe that opportunities arise from small things, such as the presence of students and graduates at UNU Jogja Career Days 2025, which can shape the future,” he said.
As the main sponsor of Career Days 2025, BTPN Syariah stated that its vision aligns with UNU Jogja’s, particularly regarding community empowerment. BTPN Syariah is the first and only bank focused on empowering women, especially in the ultra-micro business sector.
"BTPN Syariah and UNU Jogja have collaborated recently, including through student internship programs. Through the UNU Jogja Career Days 2025 event, we hope to introduce ourselves as a strategic partner of UNU Jogja and attract the best talent,” said Vini Daru Perdana, Head of Days Activation and Partnership at PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk.
UNU Jogja Career Days 2025 is a platform that facilitates interaction between young talent and company representatives, helping them discover career opportunities that align with their interests and competencies. UNU Jogja Career Days 2025 offers more than just booths with job information with its all-in-one package.
The event provides career preparation information through company presentations, career counseling clinics, mock psychometric tests, and leaderless group discussions in front of company representatives. There is also a "Battle of Destiny" and the final National Student Business Competition (NASBUC), which features 292 teams from 120 universities across Indonesia. [Arif]
